October

At Foliotek, we work hard to provide the best assessment and portfolio software possible.  To do that, we make changes every week.  Sometimes we fix things that don't work, other times we release new features to improve your experience.  Below you will find a description of the changes we have made this month.

 

10.28.2019

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • The ID Page was copmpletely renovated.  It has the same great look and functionality and operates more efficiently.

ID Page Renovation

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • Prezi changed the structure of their share URLs.  As a result, those URLs no longer worked when used with the Prezi gizmo in an ePortfolio.  The gizmo was updated to handle the new URLs.  It will still display older URL formats, too.
  • Faculty administrators who had permissions to administrate packages were confronted with two different issues.  One issue allowed them access to some actions that should not have been present when editing badge tiles.  The other one showed them a signed-out modal when they attempted to preview some tiles.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • We made changes to our Forgot Password system for users who enter an email address that is not attached to a Foliotek account.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • We corrected an issue where a student could click the save button in an activity and cause the work shown to moderators to be empty.  The work was saved correctly and still submitted, the system was just showing the wrong version to the moderator.

What we're working on

Watch for these items to be released in the next few weeks:

  • We are in the process of renovating the ID Page.  It will have the same great look and functionality, it will just to operate more efficiently.
  • Soon it will be possible to pull Badgr badges earned in Canvas into Foliotek for display on the ID Page.

  • We made improvements to our LTI system when new users come into Foliotek for the first time.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • The email subscription options in the Account Settings area were not saving changes.

  • We are in the process of renovating the ID Page.  It will have the same great look and functionality, it will just operate more efficiently.

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • Nothing to mention this week.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • The public view of the ID Page was not properly displaying the background.
  • Some students who were promoted to the Moderator role in a community were getting a permissions error when attempting to access the moderator functions for the community.

What we're working on

Watch for these items to be released in the next few weeks:

  • Next week we will be releasing some updates to our LTI system.  Users should not notice any differences in the way their account connects to Foliotek.
