December

At Foliotek, we try hard to provide the best assessment and portfolio software possible.  To do that, we make changes every week.  Sometimes we fix things that don't work, other times we release new features to improve your experience.  Below you will find a list and description of the changes we have made this month.

Just a reminder...our offices will be closed Friday, January 1st.

12.28.2015

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

What we fixed

Several issues were fixed this past week:

  • We corrected a typo in the message users see when their accounts have been locked administratively.
  • Some faculty were having difficulty getting into their evaluations to score them.  This issue was corrected.
  • For administrators looking at evaluations on the second or subsequent pages of an evaluation list, the system would always return them to the first page of the evaluations rather than the page they had previously been on, this has been corrected.
  • We optimized the charts on reports.
  • Some faculty who were moderating communities were unable to see all of the students in their community, this has been fixed.
  • There were some minor issues attempting to edit the profile image in the Account Settings area of Presentation, these difficulties have been removed.
  • Exporting Presentation portfolios had broken, it works now.

What we fixed

Several issues were fixed this past week:

  • Some faculty members were receiving errors when attempting to complete evaluations.  This has been corrected and those evaluations should be able to be scored.
  • External evaluators were unable to see some scores that they had given when clicking back into a scored unit.  The scores were still there, they were just not being displayed.  This issue has been fixed.
  • The cropping tool used to resize and reposition profile and background images on a user's ID page have been improved.
  • Due to a security update to our system last Monday, some users were shown the billing page when they attempted to view a community.  This problem was rectified shortly after it appeared.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • Projects on the ID Page and in Portfolios are now mobile-friendly.  Enjoy!
  • We upgraded the security of our payment system.  It's now safer, more secure.  You're welcome.

What we fixed

Several issues were fixed this past week:

  • Evaluations that used the sliding scale to indicate the score were not allowing a 'Not Applicable' score to be selected.  There is now a check box to mark a score as 'Not Applicable' if the evaluation has been set up to use that option.

Not Applicable

  • Resources were not being displayed properly for faculty members who had also been given access to student portfolios.  The resources now display properly.
  • When an administrator was sending out external forms, the list of students inadvertently included inactive students.  These inactive students will no longer be displayed in the list.
  • For faculty members who have administrative permissions to send out announcements through Foliotek, the program/group filte will work once again.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • We enhanced the email systems used within Foliotek today.  While this update has no impact on the visual interface, it does make some modifications to Foliotek's email delivery process. We don't believe you will experience any change in your experience; however, in order to be proactive, we suggest that you contact the appropriate IT personnel at your institution and suggest they add "e.foliotek.com" to their listing of safe sender domains.  This will ensure all future Foliotek emails will arrive at their appropriate destination.

What we fixed

Several issues were fixed this past week:

  • On the Assessment side, users who attempted to change their first or last name in the Profile area were met with an error message.  This has been corrected and users can once again edit their name.
  • The Unsubmitted External Form report was failing to remove external forms that had been completed.  As a result, the information was useless.  The form now only shows those forms that have not been saved and closed.
  • If you tried to preview a standards list, the name of the list was missing from the top of the modal.  The name of the list will now be shown at the top.
  • There was an issue with the Portfolio Form report not downloading to PDF or Word documents.  This has been corrected.
  • In the Course Evaluations area, the system had stopped displaying the number of students in an evaluation and the percentage of those evaluations that had been scored.  These calculations have been returned.
  • Emails that were being sent to external evaluators were omitting the name of the evaluator.  Now the email will contain the first and last name of the external evaluator.
  • For Portfolio-Integrated Evaluations, the ability for students to change the faculty member to whom a revision evalauation should be submitted had broken.  Now, the system will automatically select the evaluator who previously scored the evaluation and also give the student the option to select a different faculty member.
