At Foliotek, we work hard to provide the best assessment and portfolio software possible. To do that, we make changes every week. Sometimes we fix things that don't work, other times we release new features to improve your experience. Below you will find a description of the changes we have made this month.
4.29.2019
What's new
We released some new features and upgrades this week:
- An upgrade was made to Foliotek's infrastrucutre. You shouldn't see anything different, it just works better. As you've probably noticed, we have been making some regular improvements to Foliotek's infrastructure. These improvements are being done in phases to limit the risk involved when these areas are updated. We appreciate your patience as we strive to make Foliotek better.
- The User Activity report has been released. It will show the completion of some basic student activity, i.e. files uploaded, logins, ID page completion, and will give more detailed information on the completion of activities and badges, including informaiton on how much time the student spent working on the activity.
What we fixed
These issues were fixed this past week:
- Project page titles will now be limited to 256 characters.
What we're working on
Watch for these items to be released in the next few weeks:
- A new report is being created for administrators and moderators. The Users at Risk Report uses a specially designed algorithm combining number of logins, last login date, id page completion, projects created, activities completed, and time on task to identify students who are at risk of not being successful.

- The link in the email that is sent when an ePortfolio is shared privately was not opening the portfolio for viewing.

- We increased the default storage space for all users.
- An upgrade was made to Foliotek's infrastrucutre. You shouldn't see anything different, it just works better.
What we fixed
These issues were fixed this past week:
- An adjustment was made to better handle the Contact Me area of the ID page on mobile devices.
- Some users were getting an error when trying to export a Presentation portfolio with 50 or more pages.

What's new
We released some new features and upgrades this week:
- Improvements are being made to the way the ID page functions on mobile devices.
What we fixed
These issues were fixed this past week:
- The video transcode system broke and caused some large video files to not be properly uploaded. If you find a video in your account that doesn't work, please attempt to upload it again.
- Project cover images were being blurred when they shouldn't have been.
- The Facebook link on the ID page was not properly connecting to Facebook. This was fixed, along with the ability to login to Foliotek using your Facebook login credentials.
- The link used to connect your ID page to LinkedIn was not working.
- Attempting to access Acclaim badges from the ID page badges area was not properly connecting to Acclaim.
- If a faculty member tried to preview a project template in Canvas they would receive a 'page not found' error. The preview button is found by clicking the Load in a new windo button inside a Canvas assignment. Then on the next screen, click on the View Assignment Template box.
- The 'Send me the Information' link on the account settings page was returning an Uh Oh error when the user clicked on the Create Password link in the email.

- We updated some of our background systems. You shouldn't notice anything different.
What we fixed

- The top navigation bar in Foliotek Presentation wasn't being properly displayed on the dashboard and ID page when viewed on a mobile device.
- A small visual tweak was made to the GRIT Gauge Report.
